Meet the farmers from Wilkinson Acres, Chef Michael Warring of Michael Warring restaurant and winemakers from Suisun Creek Winery! This Bounty of the County presentation features a lively cooking demonstration by Chef Warring, who will show how he is using Wilkinson’s fresh produce in his delectable weekly meal kits. Mike and Courtney Wilkinson will discuss low-till and other sustainable practices on their organic farm and winemaker Brian Babcock from Suisun Creek Winery will highlight pairings and where to find their estate-grown wines. An audience Q&A takes place at the end.
Bounty of the County is a celebration of Solano County agriculture, restaurants and wine. Each week features live presentations by a different farmer-chef-winemaker trio. In light of the destruction from the wildfires, this year’s event will raise funds for Solano farmers who lost property, crops and animals. All donations through Sustainable Solano through the end of September will go to help those farmers. Continue to support local food through special Bounty of the County meals at participating restaurants, promotions at wineries and buying local food from Solano County’s farmers.
