Join Sustainable Solano at the Fairfield Civic Library in a Speaker Event with Denise Rushing. The event is FREE, but please register here so we can best host everyone.

At times it seems that so much is unraveling, we need a framework for positive, hopeful, cooperative action involving all edges of the community.

Denise will show how to invest personal energy into work that is both deeply satisfying to us and has a ripple effect, enrolling others. It’s time to look for these points of leverage—where a small amount of personal energy can make a big difference.

In this presentation, Denise Rushing, a former local elected official and certified permaculturist, will share how to engage, enroll and transform a community from the grassroots by choosing projects and initiatives that are not only fun and satisfying to all who participate, but have the potential to connect across the spectrum.

Denise shares how to apply the principles and practices of permaculture to address seemingly intractable problems. Participants will learn tools and strategies that they can apply to create a positive future for themselves and those around them.
