It’s finally raining! How can we slow down this water and use it later? Learn how many ways there are to slow, spread and sink rain and runoff water into the earth so you can sustain a greener, more hydrated landscape that is more resilient to drought and fire! Diving into a deeper understanding of the hydrologic cycle reveals the most impactful catchment strategies for a myriad of situations. Catching small quantities of water is easy and provides high quality rainwater for special use and wildlife habitat; storing enough to irrigate through the summer can be challenging; sinking water into the earth is affordable, easy and supports deep rooted vegetation and the formation of a living soil sponge. What could work best for you?
