Last fall, the community came together to install a public demonstration food forest garden at Loma Vista Farm, a resource for environmental education and experiences for Vallejo’s children and community for over four decades. On Wednesday, June 6th, we will be enhancing this growing edible garden by adding more native plants and extra drip-line irrigation to the existing landscape.

Attendees receive a personalized tour of Loma Vista’s food forest and learn what plants work together to create a self-sustaining ecosystem and provides food for the community! Meet our Sustainable Landscape Designer, Kathleen Huffman, and bring your questions. Get a sneak peak of our information boards that will be displayed at our public food forests sites and provide your input and comments before production!

Registration is NOT required. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen and comfortable outdoor shoes and gear
