Soul Food Farm in Vacaville is opening up the olive orchard for anyone who wants to come and pick olives to cure at home.
From Soul Food Farm: We came to this decision to forgo harvesting for two reasons. First, the harvest is very light, which can be typical after a bumper harvest like we had last year. The second, most apparent reason, is after the loss of all the harvesting equipment [from the fires], we have no yet sorted out how to replace everything. We invite you to come to take a stroll through the orchard. You will be able to take as many olives as you want to cure at home. To make a reservation please email SoulFoodFarm@gmail.com so we can put you on the list.
