Join Sustainable Solano for the second installation of Solano County’s Urban Forest, where we are currently working on converting 3.5-acre of Mission Solano Homeless Shelter grounds into a resilient, mixed canopy urban forest.

Come learn about the benefits of urban tree planting and join us in helping reduce greenhouse gases through this hands-on community tree planting project! This Urban Forestry Project will provide green house gas reduction benefits for all of Solano County. During this event we will be planting 15 Bare Root Fruit Trees, which will help increase access to healthy “zero-carbon” produce for over 150 Mission Solano residents.

The project aims to serve as a living lab for Solano County residents to learn about sustainable landscaping, secondary water use and the environmental and community benefits of an urban forest.

Make sure to register to be part of this family-friendly community event!!!
