Please join Sacred Sites Protection and Rights of Indigenous Tribes (SSPRIT) for an afternoon with Vallejo resident Sandra Pacheco and Melissa Moreno, contributors to the recently published book, “Voices from the Ancestors – Xicanx & Latinx Spiritual Expressions & Healing Practices.”

Sandra Pacheco (Chicana/Mexicana/Indigena), is a Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Her teaching and research focuses on Xicana/Latinx/Indigena feminism’s and spirituality. Sandra co-founded Curanderas sin Fronteras, a mobile clinic dedicated to serving the health, and well being of Xicana/Latinx/Indigena communities through the use of curanderismo.

Joining her will be fellow book contributor Melissa Moreno, Professor of Chicanx & Native American Studies at Woodland Community College.
