From Collards and Kale to Spinach and Chard … it’s all growing in Solano County right now! Join Sustainable Solano’s Local Food Program Manager, Stephanie Oelsligle Jordan, for a class featuring different types of winter greens and various techniques for cooking them. Chef Steph will demonstrate how to make a creamy Caldo Verde (Portuguese Potato-Kale Soup), and Braised Winter Greens with Coconut and Curry. Knife skills, health benefits of winter greens and where to source them will also be covered. An audience Q&A will take place at the end of class.
