SUMMARY:(Online) Ag Land\, Development\, Zoning & Orderly Growth: How Does It Work? (Panel Presentation)
DESCRIPTION:Ag Land\, Development\, Zoning & Orderly Growth: How Does It Work?\nRegister Here \nThe Solano Local Food System Alliance will hold a conversation among experts in how zoning and planning decisions are made and what are the steps that have to take place when development is proposed for farmland at its next public meeting from 4-6 pm Nov. 16. Panelists include those with knowledge of county planning\, regional planning\, orderly growth initiatives and environmental/public interest law. \nBecause planning and zoning have such a large effect on the local food system — and because many people don’t know the intricacies of how planning and zoning decisions are often made — the Solano Local Food System Alliance has made an effort to educate themselves and the public on this topic. \nYou can submit questions for the panelists in advance here. \nYou can watch last year’s panel discussion on how rural and urban land use affect our local and regional food systems and how planning and zoning can support the local food system here.\nThis is part of the Alliance’s dedication to holding public educational sessions around topics of interest to the local food system. Learn more about the Alliance here. \n \n

SUMMARY:(Online) Solano Local Food System Alliance Meeting: Medically Tailored Meals
