DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered if you could get local food direct from local farms\, right here in Benicia? Good news – you can! Join Stephanie Jordan\, Local Food Program Manager at Sustainable Solano\, for an evening learning about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and how you can get super fresh produce\, fish\, meat\, eggs (and more!) for you and your family each week. Chef Steph will give a brief tour and overview of Benicia’s CSA site\, discuss the economic and environmental impacts of buying local\, and then showcase that week’s produce in a cooking demonstration and tasting. \nHeritage Presbyterian Church has a food drive each week. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to this event for donation. \nFree\, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. \nSpace is limited to 25 attendees! \nThis class is generously funded by Republic Services.
