Local seasonal produce takes center stage as we make a colcannon shepherds pie\, Spring pea salad\, Irish soda bread and a seasonal fruit crumble for dessert. Knife skills\, cooking techniques and more will be covered in the class\, after which participants will sit down and enjoy dinner together. $20 class fee covers instruction\, equipment and ingredients. \nClasses are open to adults of all ages and teens ages 12-17 can attend with a guardian.. DESCRIPTION:Get hands-on in the kitchen learning knife skills\, kitchen safety and basic cooking techniques. Teens will prepare a variety of seasonal recipes\, including stir-fries\, soups\, salads\, pasta\, tacos and more! One day includes a farm field trip where students learn how food is grown and participate in a fun\, hands-on activity.
