DESCRIPTION:Join Sustainable Solano’s Local Food team for a hands-on class to create a fresh Spring menu including a snap pea salad with Pecorino\, chicken with easy lemon parsley sauce\, roasted asparagus and seasonal fruit dessert! A brief overview of knife skills will take place\, along with cooking techniques and how to source locally from area farms. After cooking\, participants will enjoy a shared meal together. \n$20 class fee covers instruction\, equipment and ingredients. SUMMARY:(Vallejo) Teen Cooking Class
DESCRIPTION:Teen Cooking Class\n6-8 pm\, Vallejo Community Center \nJoin Chef Stephanie Oelsligle Jordan\, SuSol’s Local Food program manager\, for a Spanish tapas cooking class for teens ages 13-17. Chef Steph will teach hands-on cooking skills\, all materials are provided and the class ends with a shared meal! This is one of three stand-alone cooking classes this spring — or interested youth can sign up for a spring break cooking camp! The teen cooking class is offered through the Greater Vallejo Recreation District (GVRD)\, and costs $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents. Learn more and register here.
