DESCRIPTION:Join us May 30 to learn about sustainable food production and help install a market garden and demonstration food forest garden to provide food to underserved communities in Fairfield! \nLearn more and register here! \nThis public\, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden at the Fairfield Community Seventh Day Adventist church providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds\, hedgerows\, and permaculture. \nThis project is in partnership with Fairfield Community Seventh Day Adventist Church. \nDay 1: Monday\, May 30 – Bed formation and Perimeter planting \n\nLearn how to create permanent beds for market gardening\nVolunteer tasks: form pathways and permanent beds\, drip irrigation\n\nDay 2: Sunday\, June 5 – Planting and Biological Applications \n\nLearn how plant out market garden beds and apply biology\nVolunteer tasks: Plant veggies in permanent beds and perimeter guilds\, apply compost extract to beds\n\n* wear mask. closed toe shoes\, sun protection\, bring gloves and water \n* Lunch will be provided \n*Bring your own lunch if you have special dietary needs
