As a nutrition educator and community cook\, Lauren will talk about different health benefits of eating fresh locally grown food and where to find them in Solano County\, and show some basic culinary skills. Samples of the local fruit will be available to taste\, along with recipes for the salsa. Come learn more about our local farmers and the products they offer. Visit the farmers market before or after the class to pick up fresh local produce! And for an extra special treat\, we’ll have seeds available from the seed lending library and a quick seed starting activity to grow your own flowers or veggies at home. No registration required. \n
