DESCRIPTION:Equity & Food Systems 101\n4-5:30 pm\, Register for Zoom link \nThe Solano Local Food System Alliance hosts this educational forum to answer questions about food systems:  what they are\, who works on them\, why they are so complex\, and why supporting your local food system is vitally important. In addition to the basics\, guest speakers will also dive into SB 1000\, which states that environmental justice elements be included in both city and county general plans. The work of food policy councils can help bring equity into the local food system.  Representatives from both the Solano-based Alliance and neighboring food policy councils will discuss their current strategic goals and projects\, which aim to build more equity\, greater access to local food\, and support for our farmers. Learn more and register here.
