SUMMARY:(East Bay) Annual Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour and Green Home Features Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Annual Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour and Green Home Features Showcase \nSaturday and Sunday\, May 6 and 7 10:00-5:00 \nFree with Registration: https://www.bringingbackthenatives.net \n  \nBringing Back the Natives Garden Tour \nThe award-winning in-person Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour and Green Home Features Showcase will allow registrants to visit more than 50 beautiful\, water-conserving native plant gardens on Saturday\, May 6 and Sunday\, May 7—from 10 am-5 pm. All of the homes have native plant gardens; more than a dozen will be sharing their green home features\, such as solar panels and batteries\, induction ranges\, heat pumps\, and more. \nRegistrants will learn how design a native plant garden for color and interest throughout the year\, garden for wildlife\, lower their water bills\, protect their family’s health and the environment by gardening without using pesticides\, and answering questions about electrification. \nWhat’s special about California native plants? They are adapted to our soil and climate\, naturally water conserving\, and easy to care for. California native plants are better than non-native plants when it comes to attracting native birds\, butterflies\, and other forms of wildlife. And\, as the gardens on the Tour show\, these lovely gardens display a sense of place that is uniquely Californian.

For on-site shopping\, the May 6 event at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Benicia will be open for day-of shoppers from 9 am-2 pm. The plants at these semi-annual sales are grown at the chapter’s nursery in Vallejo\, which follows best management practices to produce biologically clean and healthy nursery stock for its customers.  All plants available at the sale are selected to thrive in Solano County. Learn more here!
