SUMMARY:(Online) Live Solano Give Solano Day of Giving
DESCRIPTION:We know what a giving place Solano County can be. At every event\, we watch community members come together\, support one another and create change. Whether it’s moving and spreading mulch to build a new community garden\, sitting down to a shared meal after a hands-on cooking class or brainstorming ways to make our neighborhoods more walkable or flood resilient\, Solano residents are always quick to lend a hand and share their time. \nWe know that our SuSol community also opens your wallets to support our work\, whether giving a donation for a class you attend\, buying a ticket to our fundraiser\, or remembering us in your end-of-year giving (or qualified distribution in the new year). Another way you help to raise funds is through word-of-mouth. You tell others about the work we do\, and they come out to events and sometimes drop a dollar into the donation box. Now\, we have another giving opportunity we hope you will share with your networks! \nOn Oct. 1\, SuSol is joining more than 150 Solano-based nonprofits for Live Solano\, Give Solano\, a 24-hour giving event hosted by the Solano Community Foundation. This countywide day of giving will help to support our work in the community. Put it on your calendar and help us spread the word! \nFor more insight on the current funding environment\, check out this blog about a conversation SuSol’s founding Co-Executive Director Elena Karoulina had with capacity-building funder Magic Cabinet\, Solano Community Foundation\, and United Way Bay Area.
