This is your opportunity to be part of that process! \nRetail experiment participants age 16 and older will receive a $30 stipend in recognition of their time. To receive the stipend\, you must complete pre- and post-experiment surveys and participate in the experiment. Select a 1-hour time slot to secure your space and stipend. \nThere will be children’s activities while adults participate in the experiment.

Information on new food waste laws affecting Benicia will begin the class and an audience Q&A / discussion will take place at the end. \nThis class is generously funded by Republic Services.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 19 to learn the basics of waterwise drip irrigation in Benicia! Bring a cup of coffee or tea and a snack to share. During this event we will be installing a water-efficient dripline irrigation system in the Swenson community orchard and having a community garden work day. Heath Griffith from Grow with the Flow will teach an introduction to this sustainable irritation method\, and then lead a hands-on installation. You can expect to learn the differences between dripline and other irrigation methods\, the advantages of drip irrigation\, and how to assemble the components on a landscape. Whether you’ve been wanting to dip your toes into this subject\, or brush up on existing knowledge\, you are welcome!
