You will learn about the science behind growing these delicious fungi\, some of their benefits and will walk through the process of inoculating a garden bed and pathways. Then take spores home to inoculate your own garden beds.

The single most important factor in successfully gardening with native plants is to choose plants that naturally occur in your area. DESCRIPTION:What is in the air we breathe? Where does air pollution come from? How does air pollution impact your children\, neighbors\, and community? What can we do to reduce our air pollution and protect our homes? \nDr. Nick Spada will be joining us to answer all these questions and lead a workshop on how to build a cost-effective home air filter. \nDr. Spada is a scientist at the Air Quality Research Center of the University of California\, Davis. His research focuses on the prevalence of metals in air pollution\, which he uses to support large-scale national monitoring as well as targeted studies in front-line communities. \nWe will be giving away the materials to build your own air filter to the first 10 participants who register to receive the supplies (located as a free “add-on” to the ticket).
