DESCRIPTION:The Solano Local Food System Alliance meets four times a year\, with a focus in 2022 on having public\, educational speakers for each of the meetings. \nNovember 3\, 4-6 pm \nRural & Urban Land Use: Planning\, Zoning & the Local Food System \nBecause planning and zoning have such a large effect on the local food system — and because many people don’t know the intricacies of how planning and zoning decisions are often made — the Solano Local Food System Alliance will be addressing that topic at its next public meeting. This educational event over Zoom features keynote speaker Dr. Catherine Brinkley\, associate professor in Human Ecology\, Community and Regional Development at UC Davis. The best option for parking is in the public parking near the Solano Yacht Club.
