The Solano Local Food System Alliance is hosting its next online educational forum on what goes into community members’ decisions around purchasing local food.

Alliance member Sustainable Solano has partnered with UC Davis around the development of marketing and messaging strategies that will encourage more people in Solano County to buy local food. One of Sustainable Solano’s key initiatives is to increase community awareness about local food and its support for local and regional farmers and food producers.

UC Davis has conducted research to understand consumer preferences and purchasing decisions in our county. Dr. Kristin Kiesel, an Alliance member and the UC Davis lead researcher on this project, will present and discuss the findings.

Who should attend? Local farmers, food producers, restaurant owners, business support organizations and others interested in supporting the local food system!
