The 2025 Spring Bounty of the County will feature local food, farms, chefs and more in Vacaville and Benicia!


Bounty of the County Events
Cooking Demonstrations
- June 5: Cooking demonstration and samples at the Rio Vista Farmers Market
Farm-to-Table Events
- May 16: 5:30-8:30 pm: Visit Vacaville Farm-to-table dinner at Joyful Ranch
- June 14: Farm-to-table dinner from Chef Kyle Young at The Cafe at The Inn in Benicia. Only 40 seats available for this four-course dinner! Call for reservations: 707-752-4300
- June 28: 10-2 pm: The Bounty of the County: Summer Fruit Fun event at Fairfield Civic Center Library will include cooking demonstrations, tastes of local seasonal produce, children’s activities and the opportunity to participate in a retail experiment on how people shop for produce.
- June 29: 4-7 pm: Sustainable Solano farm-to-table celebration at Soul Food Farm. Enjoy fresh-made, wood-fired pizza topped with locally grown ingredients straight from nearby farms. The event will include wine and beer and a silent auction.

Chef Kyle Young is a highly skilled and innovative culinary professional with a passionate approach to creating memorable dining experiences. His culinary philosophy centers around respecting ingredients and pushing creative boundaries to surprise and delight guests. In addition to his culinary skills, Chef Kyle is committed to mentoring aspiring chefs and contributing to the local food community through collaborations, workshops, and culinary events.
With a focus on sustainability and innovation, Chef Kyle continues to evolve his craft, always seeking new inspiration and techniques to elevate his cuisine. Whether creating a multi-course tasting menu or developing new recipes, he strives to deliver exceptional taste and an engaging dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. Driven by a love of food and a desire to inspire others, Chef Kyle Young remains a dynamic figure in the culinary world, constantly pushing the boundaries of flavorful, artistic gastronomy.
He provided a course in Visit Vacaville’s farm-to-table dinner, and will highlight Solano produce and farm products in a special Bounty of the County dinner June 14 at The Cafe at The Inn.

C4 Leaders
Vacaville
Chef Jeff Christian is the founder of C4 Leaders, a nonprofit organization that uses the pizza-making experience to create learning opportunities. Jeff is a husband, father, registered nurse, basketball coach, podcast host of Life’s Essential Ingredients, and author of two books as guides for team building and leadership training. Jeff worked for the past 33 years as a registered nurse in various settings including: the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center, as a college nurse, lastly, as a nursing professor at Sacramento City College. Most recently, Jeff went into early retirement and he enjoys spending time reading, walking, volunteering for C4 Leaders, learning how to play the guitar, and coaching basketball.
Chef Jeff will be making pizzas topped with Solano-grown produce for Sustainable Solano’s farm-to-table fundraiser June 29. Learn more and get tickets here.
