Learn to transform a growing space into a perennial food forest garden.
Join us to learn about sustainable food production and help install a market garden and demonstration food forest garden to provide food to underserved communities in Fairfield!
This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden at City Church of Fairfield, providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds, hedgerows, and permaculture.
This project is in partnership with City Church of Fairfield.
- Learn how to prepare a growing space for a perennial food forest and lay irrigation to ensure its success.
- Volunteer tasks: Dig swales, move woodchips, and lay irrigation lines.
