Join us to learn about sustainable food production and help install a market garden and demonstration food forest garden to provide food to underserved communities in Fairfield!

This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden at City Church of Fairfield, providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds, hedgerows, and permaculture.

This project is in partnership with City Church of Fairfield.

Day 2: Saturday, March 4

• Learn how to prepare a growing space for a perennial food forest and lay irrigation to ensure its success.
• Volunteer tasks: Plant, move woodchips, and lay irrigation lines

* wear mask. closed toe shoes, sun protection, bring gloves and water

* Lunch will be provided
