Sustainable Solano is working to establish a community garden in downtown Rio Vista! The aim is to create a beautiful, thriving green space that will not only enhance our community but also promote permaculture practices and foster a sense of community.

This garden will provide an opportunity for local residents who lack their own space to cultivate fresh produce locally. This community garden will also serve as an educational platform, providing a space for residents to learn about urban farming practices and reconnecting with our local agricultural roots.

The garden will be a vibrant communal space, encouraging social interaction, and strengthening bonds among neighbors. It will become a hub for exchanging ideas, knowledge, and experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and pride in our shared environment.

Join us as we create the steering committee for this garden project, and determine the immediate goals and structure of the organization.
