(Fairfield) Compost 101- A Beginners Guide to Composting

This beginner-friendly class will introduce attendees to the basics of composting; Composting 101! Come and learn how easy it is to transform your yard waste and food scraps into “gardeners’ gold”. The benefits of making and using compost are many: recycling resources, saving money and water. This workshop will teach you to make, harvest and use this valuable soil amendment in your garden.

City Church will have a newly built 3-bin system by the class date, so attendees will have an opportunity for hands on harvesting and composting in their new bin(s).

This is the first class in a 3-series class offering on composting. The next two classes will be for intermediate composting information and advanced composting, respectively.

The instructor, Lori Caldwell, is a seasoned teacher on all things compost, gardening, and sustainable living. She will offer her expertise for this class as well as for the second class in the compost series which you can register for here.
